Our Story

long yarn films professional interviewsHello, I’m Clinton Moore, founder of Long Yarn Films. We’re a small family business with a big passion for capturing memories.

Our family history journey was inspired by the realisation that our parents were getting older and were the custodians of a wealth of knowledge. We wanted to capture this legacy as a keepsake for both ourselves and future generations.

After filming our very first interview with my own grandmother I felt safe in the knowledge that my grandchildren would now have a better idea of where they came from.

We want to help you capture this same experience so that your Dad’s smile and personality can be shared with your family forever.

Being a small business we focus on giving you and your father individual attention. We don’t create cookie cutter films. Just like your Dad, each one of our films is unique and tailored to their personality.

We Come To You

Long Yarn Films is based in Sydney and loves crossing the city to help create your life story video. We have no travel fees for filming locations within Sydney. For those places a little further away we have very reasonable travel fees.

To make sure your Dad has the most comfortable experience possible, we come to him no matter where he is in Sydney. This means that we can film your Dad in his own home rather than in some cold and impersonal studio.

We’ll work with you and your Dad throughout the process to ensure that everyone is comfortable and can easily simplify our setup if preferred. Rest assured through that we’ll treat your Dad’s house as though it were our own!
